We’re pleased to announce that the next York Literature Festival will run from the 19th to the 28th of March 2020. Book a space in your diaries now!
But first, a huge thank you to all those who attended our Autumn 2019 Programme. With sell-out audiences at two events and full houses at the rest, there were some truly memorable performances. If you didn’t manage to get along, don’t worry, we have great news for you. We’ll be running another full ten-day programme in the spring.
Thanks to a package of Arts Council funding, YLF2020 promises to be the most diverse yet with poetry, prose, drama and comedy and a whole lot more. With some household names topping the bill and a string of headliners, 2020 will also see the return of the Big History Weekend plus a Creative Crime Writing Conference featuring some of the top names in British Crime Writing. There’ll be a day of Children’s Events and in a new innovation, we’re offering a series of 2pm matinées so that there’s something on almost every day for those who prefer not to come into town at night. And we’ll be showcasing some of the best writing talent that York itself has to offer.
We’ll be releasing details of the programme over the course of the next few weeks. To keep fully up-to-date with news as it breaks, follow us on Twitter @YorkLitFest and by signing up to our eNewsletters here.
Don’t miss out! We’ll be in touch again soon!
